St. John's at the Temple of Dendur

Busy during intersession imparting the cultural
wealth that NY has to offer the students of "Art in
NY," a class I instruct at St. John's. This shot was
taken outside the temple of Dendur, a Egyptian style
temple built by Petronius, a Roman governor.
Dedicated to Isis & Osiris and local princes, it
became a gift to the Met in 1978 when the Aswan dam
